The Inaugural Fisherman's Ball handing out the first check.

The Fisherman's Ball was founded in 2008 by three anglers (pictured at left) Vince Burkhardt, Matt Bruggeman, and Brian Kolshak over brews at a local Sports Bar in the Summer of '07. These gentlemen knew they could change the way tournaments were organized and make it about the anglers, the community and bring the fun back. Hosting the first captains meeting for the inaugural tournament in a parking lot with only 15 boats registered in the Summer of 2008, the tournament now boasts more and more participants and sponsors each year for a chance at luck, bragging rights and "The Cup"!
